This is a six week class that meets for 3 hours on Wednesday afternoons. Engage your creativity with this introductory class. You will gain an overview of basic clay techniques, including hand-building and working on the potter's wheel. This is a good opportunity to "meet" the ceramics studio, as all tools and equipment will be reviewed. This class covers the process of creating ceramic pieces from wet clay through the glaze fire. Fee includes 25 pounds of clay, glaze and firing fee. A tool kit may be purchased for $12. Open studio time, which is scheduled several times throughout the week, is available at no extra charge.
