DINNER & A MOVIE offers elegant dining with superb independent film at the Quicks Hole Tavern and Redfield Auditorium.  For $27 per person, select from a preset menus prepared specially for the evening. The price includes entree and movie, but does not include beverage, dessert, tax or tip.  If you are interested in the movie alone, the price is $15.

Getting To The Nutcracker - December 20th

Feature documentary by Serene Meshel-Dillman, 98 min.

The film examine one of roughly 600 productions of The Nutcracker staged every holiday season in this country.  It details the trials, tribulations and joy experienced by the dancers of the Los Angeles' Marat Daukayev School of Ballet from its first auditions to the final results.  The dancers range in age from 3 to 18.

The end credits reveal that several of the spotlighted dancers have received scholarships to such prestigious companies as the American Ballet Theater, the Bolshoi and the Boston Ballet.  So, don't be surprised if you cross paths with them again.
