Jack Dickerson graduated and received degrees from the Rhode Island School of Design, and  from Basel School of Design / Allgemeine Gewerbeschule in Basel, Switzerland (with grant from the Ford Foundation).

Dickerson's paintings reside in collections in 24 states in the US, Europe and Turkey.  His work has been displayed in numerous galleries and shows in the northeast, and his lifetime of creative work has been recognized with numerous awards.

Among others, Dickerson has studied with Swiss Kurt Hauert and Armin Hoffman, American Sy Sillman (Joseph Albers’ associate), and colorist Wolf Kahn.

Dickerson follows his Dutch family's creative life (architects and sculptors from Amsterdam).

Dickerson lives with his accomplished Trompe L’Oeil Artist and Needlepoint Designer wife, Kate Dickerson, who recently painted the huge French murals in the main entry in the Boulangerie at PB Bistro in Wellfleet.

He paints every  day at Dickerson Gallery, 1050 Main Street, Brewster, MA--right across the street from the Lemon Tree Shops.
