I am inspired by florals and landscapes set in the unique light of Cape Cod, awestruck by the architecture and movement of the human form, haunted by the silence of old houses and empty spaces, and intrigued by the beauty in everyday objects. My desire is to communicate curiosity and honesty through my work so that my audience finds something surprising and engaging in what they see.

I studied art in the 70s and 80s - attended the University of Houston for Architecture, then Fine Arts, completing a BFA. I studied at MassArt in Boston for my MFA in Figurative Painting and was accepted to the Newhouse School at Syracuse University where I studied Communications Design.

After many years of leaving my artwork behind, the past few years have brought me back to a regular practice, and I am blessed to live and work here on Cape Cod, where the rich creative culture surrounds me and offers a caring and supportive group of artists.
