Watercolor Wednesdays with Rosalie, Late Fall 2019

​If you’ve never attempted watercolors before – or you’d like to further explore this forgiving, fluid, and beautiful medium – welcome! This class will simplify your first attempt, or take you to another level on your painting journey. If you’ve ever been stuck with a painting, dissatisfied with the results, this class will demystify it all for you. You’ll learn color mixing, lifting, brush-stroke techniques, paint application, and much more in this supportive, non-intimidating and relaxed atmosphere. ​ ​There will be ongoing demonstrations, detailed, helpful handouts and a presentation of supplies and tools to help you in the painting process. ​ ​This class is for all skill levels!

Please, bring a snack for our short break.​ ​All supplies will be provided, but for those who want to bring their own material, please see below for a list of suggested supplies and paints for your first class. ​

Note: Pencils, brushes, & water cups supplied by the instructor.

Materials List:

• • Masking tape (not colored)
  • 9 X 12, 140 pound, cold-pressed pad watercolor paper
  • UNGLAZED paper plates, to be used as a palette (If glazed, paint will bead up)
  • Paper towels
  • Grey kneaded eraser
  • Smock or old shirt

Paints:

Box of 18 watercolors (in smaller boxes, the colors are too limited). Suggested brands: Marie, Reeves, Phoenix.
