Materials List
Paper: Arches 140lb. cold press 22×30 (Will be cut in half or quarters.)
Brushes: A good quality round no. 12 sable or synthetic (not squirrel hair.) Same quality no. 5 or 6 round plus a no. 1 rigger brush. Also a 1 inch flat Aquarelle or equivalent. Plus any other watercolor brushes you may have.
Paints: Artist quality tube watercolors. Winsor Newtown, Holbien, DaVinci, Grumbacher, or equivalent;
Colors: Lemon Yellow
Cad. Yellow
Cad. Orange
Burnt Sienna
Alizarin crimson
Ultra marine blue
Cerulean or Manganese blue
Cad. red
Paynes gray or Indigo Blue
Indian red or Light red
Phalo blue, green shade
Good to have:
Quandicrone GoldYellow Gold
Palette: John Pike type palette or porcelain “butchers tray”
Painting Board: 18×24 in. Homesote (will talk about this in class)
Miscellaneous: HB pencil, kneaded eraser, facial tissues, masking tape, sponge and that credit card you should have gotten rid of long a go.
Also, if you use the homsote board, you will need a staple gun.
