An abandoned couch at the Porte de Saint Ouen (Saint Owen’s Gate) at the edge of Paris offers refuge to an itinerant artist and precipitates the 1st of her poetic chronicles.
Her words contrast with the «remarks» of the 2nd character in this piece – Jean de La Bruyère, the 17th century French moralist and author of «The Characters or the Mores of this century». His incisive language offers strong principles to the artist who has learned to adapt to innumerable situations through mobility, invisibility, observation, silence and improvisation.
