Simply by Hand: Pottery with Holly Heaslip

Present by the Cultural Center of Cape Cod on six Saturdays, beginning April 10, from 9:30-11:30am. Hand building is one of the most versatile ways of transforming clay into useful objects. In this class, all levels of students will be accommodated according to their skill level. Through demonstrations and personalized instruction, the course will be tailored to the individual. We will learn coil, slab, and pinch methods to make every day functional ware for the table, home, and garden. Using these three methods alone or in combination, opens a wealth of possibilities. Learn basic techniques, or if you are more skilled, use them as a stepping point from which to take off on your own! All tools, materials, and firings are included. CDC guidelines, including mask wearing and social distancing, will be observed.
