In this first of five sessions, Kerry Brown, PhD, brings his students what many consider the Bard's greatest comedy. He will focus on the notion of festive comedy and the historical context surrounding the play. The class will also begin a discussion of Act I of Trevor Nunn's version of Twelfth Night. Dr. Brown recommends reading the introductions to the Oxford and Cambridge editions of the play.
