Red River Road Premiere

The Chatham Orpheum Theater will premiere local filmmaker Paul Schuyler’s award-winning film Red River Road on Friday, January 21 at 7 pm. The filmmaker will hold a Q&A after the film. The movie will run from January 21 – 27.

Paul Schuyler birthed the idea of Red River Road when COVID-19 threw all of America into lockdown, and the feature film he was about to shoot was shut down too. Schuyler wrote the script in 10 days. With only the Schuyler family to act as cast and crew, the family embraced the challenges, and Schuyler shot his 90-minute award-winning feature entirely under quarantine.

Schuyler says, “the challenge was to create a film that looked like a full production crew participated in the making of it, even though it was just me, my wife, and our two teenage sons. We’re all experienced actors, so that wasn’t a concern. But, even given my production experience, wearing that many hats at once proved challenging. It was the toughest shoot I’ve ever pulled off.”

The Thriller Red River Road tells the story of A family of four isolating against a pandemic virus that spreads through the internet and robs you of your ability to perceive reality. Everything begins to unravel when they suspect one or all of them might be infected.
