Old Time Gospel Night

 OLD TIME GOSPEL NIGHT

John Wesley United Methodist Church is excited to extend to you an invitation to our next Old Time Gospel Night on Friday January 30 beginning at 7:30pm.  This is a community Sing-A-Long featuring sacred bluegrass, spirituals and hymns. We guarantee that Old Time Gospel Night will warm your soul and fend off winter’s chill.  You’ll be treated to an inspirational evening of exceptional entertainment with a bit of laughter and a few surprises sprinkled in.

John Yankee, on keyboard, will lead the evening’s entertainment. Richard Gregory-Allen (fiddle), Rich Armstrong (mandolin), John Alden (bass), Thomas Hodgson (guitar) along with some special guests will provide acoustic harmony. The audience, of course, makes the music come alive by singing along to old time favorites such as Keep on the Sunnyside of Life, Hard Times, and I’ll Fly Away. There will be quest performances by 3 Cats and a Dog, Lou Roy and Adrian Mann. Deborah Warner, from the Church of the Messiah, will join Pastor Rebecca in offering humorous tales of their view of everyday life in Woods Hole and Falmouth. You will even have the opportunity to hear the masterful Robert Wyatt on piano.

The suggested donation is $10.00 (or whatever you feel you can offer). Proceeds will benefit the John Wesley United Methodist music budget. Come be part of the fun – the more the merrier!
