Nature Collage & Journaling Camp! (ages 9+) With Stephanie King 

Presented by the Cultural Center of Cape Cod on Tuesday, July 25 through Thursday, July 27, from 10-11:30am.

Join educator, Stephanie King, for a fun and whimsical three-session nature collage and journaling summer camp.  Create lasting memories of your Cape Cod summer by starting a nature journal & designing collages made with natural materials such as sand, tiny shells, pressed flowers, handmade paper and even seaweed. Collage making has no rules and children can be as playful and experimental as they choose.  We will learn to use natural materials to illustrate a favorite flower, animal, underwater scene, or anything else we can imagine.  Students will draw inspiration from their environment and experiences to tell their own stories with written words and/or visual works of art. Did you know you can paint with feathers, twigs, and pinecones? Join in to find out how and come celebrate Cape Cod’s beautiful flora and fauna by creating sun catchers, collages & nature sketchbooks/journals.

For materials, please bring a 5×8 or 9×12, mixed media sketchbook.
