Introduction to Acrylic Painting & Pouring with Jim Bowen

In this workshop you will learn the step-by-step techniques to help you develop a strong foundation of the acrylic pouring fundamentals.

We will discuss the essential tools and supplies you will need and an explanation of what they do and why you need them.

You will also receive a list of tools that are essential to create a beautiful pour. A glossary of acrylic pouring terminology,  some of which apply to painting in general and some of which apply directly to acrylic pouring will be handed out.  A brief description will also be included in your packet that demonstrates numerous pouring styles so you will be ready to begin your own pouring journey at home.

Bring your apron and wear your old clothes because we will be doing hands on work. After I demonstrate the flip cup technique, dirty pour, puddle pour, tree ring, funnel pour and swipe you will create three pieces of art using your choice of these methods.
