Hopper en Plein Air

Painting outdoors in marvelous September light, we will take lessons from Edward Hopper. Among the greatest American painters, Hopper lived in Truro and painted on the Cape from 1930-1967, and Hopper drawings from a recent gift to PAAM will be available for our study. We will strengthen our ability to depict architecture in the landscape through study of his use of light and shadow. Space and perspective will be explored in studio exercises and in the field.
