Falmouth Art Center Book Club: Frida in America

To honor Hispanic Heritage Month in September, Falmouth Art Center will be hosting a talk by Celia Stahr, the author of “Frida in America: The Creative Awakening of a Great Artist.”

The talk is Thursday, September 21 at 4pm on Zoom. The talk is free and open to the public. To get the Zoom link, email info@falmouthart.org. The Zoom link will be sent out the day of the talk.

Dr. Stahr is an art historian and professor of museum studies and art history at the University of San Francisco. From the New York Times Book Review on “Frida in America”: “It’s intriguing to encounter an artist in the act of becoming herself… Stahr’s chronicle of Kahlo’s breakthrough includes vivid descriptions of the scenes that inspired her.”
