Intermediate and advanced students will study contemporary ceramics as inspiration for our own work, with class time devoted to making work, one-on-one consultation, and demos, which will relate to the specific artists the students choose to emulate.
The instructor will introduce work by a variety of artists and will ask students to do their own research as well, with some sources provided. Each student will choose an artist to emulate and make a body of work influenced by that artist. Class time will be devoted to making work, one-on- one consultation, and demos. Demos will be related to the specific artists the students choose. Handbuilding, wheel, and combined techniques. For intermediate and advanced students.
