Civil War in Ireland

The split over the Anglo-Irish Treaty led to the Irish Civil War (1922-23). In 1922, its two main Irish signatories, Arthur Griffith and Michael Collins, both died. Collins was killed by anti-treaty republicans in an ambush at Béal na Bláth in August 1922, ten days after Griffith's death from heart failure which was ascribed to exhaustion. The Center's main parking lot is at the rear of the campus off Union Street, with overflow parking in the town lot on the corner of Old Main and Union Street or down Mill Street. The accessible parking spaces are near the accessible ramp entrance at the rear of the campus.
