Robin Pierson

A resident of Cape Cod, Robin left her corporate job 13 years ago and decided to follow her love of art. “I realized that I was sitting at a desk for eight hours a day, waiting for the day to end, so that I could get home and do what I love.” After studying decorative painting at the Rhode Island School of design, Robin opened her faux painting and re-design business “Robin’s Nest Interiors”. She has been trained and certified as an Interior Redesign Specialist (I.R.I.S.) by JoAnne Lenart-Weary, founder of “One Day Decorating” and studied cabinet artistry at Garay Artisans of Orlando, FL.

One winter while living in St. Augustine, FL with the goal of developing her business in a warmer winter climate, she was experimenting with a new idea – decorative window art. A trip to Key West and a chance participation in an art show began her journey into creating her wonderful pieces. Now, Robin combines her love for decorative painting and window art into one. Robin also participates regularly in juried art shows on Cape Cod in the summer and Key West, FL in the winter.

Over time, Robin’s line of art has developed from smaller picture frame size pieces to larger custom designs, many with a more functional use such as tables and mirrors. I take those treasures and incorporate them into a piece of art that you can enjoy every day.” Robin also shares her love for her window art by teaching classes in her studio.

Why the name Reflections? “Originally, the name signified the reflection in a mirror or window, but now it means so much more. I invest my heart and soul into every piece, carefully placing each object so that it coordinates and compliments the next. My art is a reflection of me. I love what I do! It’s like a puzzle. When all of the pieces fit, it’s a beautiful thing!”
