I am a professional watercolor artist who paints natural, quiet spaces that soothe and calm and subjects unique to Cape Cod. I have been involved in the art scene for over thirty-five years, showing at several galleries, art group exhibitions and a few outdoor shows. Currently a partner in Saltworks Fine Art in Orleans, I also show at Argonauta Design in Orleans and have participated as a juried artist in the national outdoor show, Festival of the Arts in Chatham for the past thirty-three years. I was featured in Cape Cod Life’s Art edition in 2010.
As a field guide for the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History, I like connect the viewer to the unique Cape Cod environment, preserving it for perpetuity. Although trained as an art historian and with experience in museum work, art conservation and college teaching, creating art has been a passion since childhood and I am pleased to have the opportunity to prove a person can make a living as an artist as well as in more traditional occupations.
Cape Cod landscapes, detailed close-ups of natural flora and fauna, figurative paintings of people involved in traditional Cape Cod occupations , local architecture, quiet spaces worthy of environmental preservation.
