Painting was always important to me. I started oil painting when I was in my teens. My mother was very artistic and did wonderful water colors. She would often advise me as to color and values. I studied art in college and I have studied under Adam Solequ at the National Gallery of Art. Most of my work is representational however I enjoy doing abstract work as well. In all of my painting I focus on light, color and composition.
I am a member of the National Association of Women Artists and a Board Member of the Massachusetts Chapter. I am a member of Oil Painters of America. I stay involved in the art world through my affiliation with the Provincetown Art Association and the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod. My paintings have been journeyed into shows though out the country including the Rockport Art Association and The Cahoon Museum of American Art.
My representation has been through The White Swan Gallery, The Birdsey Gallery and the Lambertville Gallery of Fine Art.
