The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod invited the region’s top artists to interpret the theme: Bon Appetit! The result is a mouthwatering array of artwork featured in the 12th Annual Winter Art exhibit.
A total of 40 Cape Cod artists used their time and talents to interpret a mouthwatering theme -- Bon Appetit! -- for the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod's 12th Annual Winter Art Exhibit.
The results can be seen in 46 (delicious) pieces of original artwork which can be viewed for free at the Cotuit Center for the Arts, from Saturday, January 12 to Saturday, February 23. Each piece is hung a foot lower than normal to engage children as nearly 1,000 students from throughout Cape Cod will view the exhibit over the next few weeks.
The Juror’s Choice Award went to Brewster’s Jackie deRuyter, whose piece “Comfort” features old photos of her family members preparing and serving food, printed on tea bags that had been steeped, dried, pressed, and sewn together.
