Sparrow Blue is a fiddle and acoustic guitar duo from southeastern Massachusetts, playing American folk, roots and classic country music. Featuring Todd Nickerson (of the band 6 East) on guitar and vocals and Katy Boc (of The Jones River Band) on fiddle and vocals, the duo released their first album, Mabel, in 2015 … a “lilting, dark, and spellbindingly catchy” collection that melds together the influences of both Boc and Nickerson into one, sweet, rootsy sound that is clean and crisp and displays hints of Americana goodness. In 2018, they released Rabbit in the Moon, which reached #1 on the Roots Music Report (RMR) and #8 on the Folk DJ Album Charts. It features fiddle, guitars, mandolin, banjo, harmonica and vocal harmony throughout, blending folk, country, bluegrass and old-time influences together with crafted songwriting to paint a musical picture of times gone by, hope, hard times, and new beginnings. Opening up for Sparrow Blue will be local songwriter Kathleen Healy, who appears regionally in southern New England as a solo performer, and with her trio, Heyday. Her CD Spark was released in June of 2014
