"Walden Warming: Change Comes to Thoreau's Woods"

Presented by Cultural Center of Cape Cod at Cultural Center of Cape Cod

“Walden Warming: Change Comes to Thoreau’s Woods” – A Talk by Author Dr. Richard Primack.
The Association to Preserve Cape Cod will host this event, featuring Boston University biologist and author Dr. Richard Primack as he discusses his book, Walden Warming: Change Comes to Thoreau’s Woods, and his groundbreaking research into the impacts of climate change on the timing of plant leafing and blooming, comparing the meticulous field notes of Thoreau with modern observations. This event is associated with Henry David Thoreau, Cape Cod to the Maine Woods: A Journey in Photographs, an exhibition of finely-crafted photographic prints, on loan from The Walden Woods Project, created by the Harvard Museum of Natural History in partnership with photographer Scot Miller to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the publication of Henry David Thoreau’s The Maine Woods. The month-long exhibition, opening reception and associated events are open to the public with free admission.
