Outermost Contra is happy to welcome back Providence-born-and-raised Rich Sbardella. Rich has been calling contra dances in New England for more than 25 years. He will lead us through contras, squares, mixers and fun family dances.
Renowned pianist Jacqueline Schwab will team with local favorite dance fiddler, Amy Larkin, to provide lively music for fun dancing.
Contra dancing is the older cousin to the square dance. No fancy footwork needed – if you can walk, you can dance! All the dances are taught and called. If you’re new to contra dance, be sure to get in on the early dances for the basic moves. And don’t miss out on our welcoming and delicious potluck at 6.
Outermost Contra is one of many contradances on the Cape, and was organized in December of 2014. The contra dance is family friendly and welcomes dancers of all levels.
