Outermost Contra is pleased to announce that the April dance will welcome the Celtic Roots musicians, Jonathan Ford, Bailey Ford, and Gavin Rice. Celtic Roots, (formerly the Keltic Kids) is an energetic young band playing Celtic music at various locations around Massachusetts and beyond.
Local Eastham caller, Pat Nash, will lead you through fun, easy dances to the accompaniment of this great group of youngsters.
Contra dancing is the older cousin to the square dance. No fancy footwork needed – if you can walk, you can dance! All the dances are taught and called. Outermost dances begin with a half hour beginner workshop.
Outermost Contra is one of many contradances on the Cape, and was organized in December of 2014. The contra dance is family friendly and welcomes dancers of all levels.
