Vicki Summers Presents a One Woman Show!

Vicki Summers Presents a One Woman Show!

Presented by Brewster Ladies' Library at Brewster Ladies' Library

Bella chronicles the life journey of Bella Indianer. The play is performed and written by her granddaughter, Vicki Summers, who acts as numerous characters in the play. Bella survived the pogroms in Russia and later emigrated to America in 1920, where she married and raised a family. This is a story of resilience, courage, humor and love, universal themes that all can relate to. The goal of this play is to bring to life a Jewish American immigrant, with all the challenges and rewards she faced. But more importantly, Vicki’s mission is to encourage each of us to learn and record our own family stories so that they won’t get lost in time.

Vicki Summers is a professional actress and drama instructor/director at Riverview School in Sandwich, MA.  Her favorite roles include Blanche in A Streetcar Named Desire, Molly in Molly Sweeney, Margie in Good People, and Amanda in The Glass Menagerie.  In Bella, Vicki brings to life her beloved grandma.

Bella was originally developed and produced at Cape Rep Theater in Brewster, in their theater lab program for new plays.

This play will take place on Saturday, January 20 at 1:00 p.m. Admission is free, and all are welcome.
