This year’s popular Chatham Chorale Christmas program features seasonal music both familiar and fresh, from the Renaissance to the 21st century.
The Chatham Chorale brings its much-loved Candlelight Christmas celebration to Chatham’s beautiful Methodist Church. This year’s program features seasonal music from the Renaissance to the 21st century: including Purcell’s motet “Rejoice in the Lord Alway,” “Hodie” by Jan Sweelinck, Joubert’s setting of the French carol “Torches,” "Ave Maria" and contemporary arrangements by John Harbison of “O Magnum Mysterium” and William Cutter, the “Ukrainian Bell Carol.” Cape Symphony keyboardist Donald Enos plays Handel’s Organ Concerto in F Major. As always, the concerts will feature a small orchesta and an audience singalong and “Hallelujah” from Handel’s Messiah. |
Tickets are $25 open seating; $30 reserved seating. Students 18 and under may request free tickets by calling 774-212-9333.
