This is a two day “hands-on” workshop, designed to introduce the participants to the art and technical skills of woodturning. Participants will be introduced to a variety of turning tools and techniques and will have the opportunity to work directly with experienced woodturners. Class size is limited to six participants allowing the three instructors to work with two students at time providing personalized demonstration, instruction and support.
This workshop will provide four hours of instruction and demonstration focused safety, basic turning tools, tool control techniques, as well as, the basics of turning spindle and bowl based forms. You will gain some perspective as to the broad range items that can be produced on the wood lathe while experiencing first-hand the pride and pleasure of producing your own turned item. For those who own a lathe or have been considering trying woodturning, this seminar will provide the information and instruction to help you begin enjoying woodturning.
