Please Note: This event has expired.
Sturgis Library is pleased to host an evening of great poetry and music on Tuesday, January 23 at 6 PM, to mark the 50th anniversary of the Tet Offensive, and other more recent conflicts.
This FREE poetry and music event will feature a trio of exceptional poets: Doug Anderson, Howie Faerstein and Eric Wasileski.
We will also have music by Black Whydah Trio (comprised of John Best, Jean Alitz Sagara & Ellen Watters Sullivan), who will perform the World Premiere of John Best’s composition, based on the poem/prose piece The War Prayer by Mark Twain, with narration by poet/poetry organizer Neil Silberblatt.
