A.J. VERDELLE is a writer and working mother, who has published a novel and more than a dozen essays. Verdelle has taught undergraduates and graduate students in MFA programs, at Princeton University and the Lesley University MFA program, respectively. A.J. Verdelle’s second novel, an epic story of forgotten black cowboys, to be published by Random House. Verdelle’s first novel, The Good Negress,won national prizes, and has been termed, by some, a “minor classic.”
