The 1940's Radio Hour

Full of 1940s music, dancing and old-time sound effects, the play portrays the final holiday broadcast of the Mutual Manhattan Variety Cavalcade on the New York radio station WOV in December 1942.

A different time is evoked in this marvelously theatrical and winning show. The audience is part of a live, radio broadcast from the Hotel Astor on December 21, 1942. Opens March 7 at 7:30 p.m. and continues on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 through March 24. Tickets are $25 general admission and $22 students and seniors. The March 10 performance will feature open captioning.
