5 Saturday classes: 2/24, 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24. Hand building, it's a personal choice. The potter's wheel for some, is the only way to make pottery. Hand building is one of the most basic and earliest techniques for transforming clay into useful objects. In this class we will learn coil, slab and pinch methods to make everyday functional ware for the table, home and garden. The Center's main parking lot is at the rear of the campus off Union Street, with overflow parking in the town lot on the corner of Old Main and Union Street or down Mill Street. The accessible parking spaces are near the accessible ramp entrance at the rear of the campus.
