This form is a blend of memoir and story. In this class we’ll focus on the essay 800 to 1000 words in length. These essays typically concern one event or incident that results in a new insight.
The trick is to stay on point while delivering an emotional impact and suggesting a cultural context. Sound hard? It is. But it’s very rewarding to get it right.
