July Art Show: Sucie Stevenson

Stevenson has lived and worked on Cape Cod for 30 years. The last 25 years have been spent exclusively writing and illustrating children’s books, and fine art painting.

Stevenson is the author and illustrator of more than 50 books for children, and is best known as the illustrator of the popular Henry & Mudge books by Cynthia Rylant. She also illustrates the Annie & Snowball series by Rylant. The American Library Association awarded the pair the first Theodor Seuss Giesel (“Dr. Seuss”) medal in 2006 for Henry & Mudge and The Great Grandpas, citing it as “The most distinguished contribution to the body of American children’s literature known as Beginning Reader books.”

The public is invited to a reception at the Library on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 6 – 7:30 p.m.
