Inside The Pages author series: Beverly D'Onofrio

Author Beverly Donofrio was recently dubbed a master memoirist by the Daily Beast. In addition to her three memoirs, her three children’s books, Mary and the Mouse, the Mouse and Mary; Where’s Mommy? and Thank You Lucky Stars are much praised; her NPR documentaries are perennially rebroadcast; and her personal essays have appeared in The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, O, The Oprah Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Mademoiselle, Marie Clair, More, Allure, Spirituality and Health, The Village Voice, Huffington Post, Slate, as well as numerous anthologies. Tonight Beverly will read from her three memoirs: the New York Times bestseller, Riding in Cars with Boys, which was made into a popular movie; Looking for Mary, a Barnes and Noble Discover pick, began as an NPR documentary; and Astonished: A Story of Blessings, Grace and Solace, called “astonishing,” by more than one reviewer, is being transformed by Bev into a play with music. she will also talk a bit about Memoir and Writing. On Sunday June 14th she is offering a follow up two-hour memoir writing workshop at the Hall.
