Shepley Metcalf sings Going Places

Hop aboard for Going Places, terrific traveling tunes and city songs offered up by Shepley Metcalf and Ron Roy, the "superb cabaret/jazz singer and her ace piano accompanist" (The Boston Globe).  Expect songs about New York, New Orleans, London, Paris and beyond, by composers as varied as Cole Porter, Joni Mitchell, Stephen Sondheim, and Mary Chapin Carpenter.  Cambridge-based Metcalf and pianist Roy, a Boston Conservatory faculty member, have performed together since 2008 at venues including the Metropolitan Room (NYC), Scullers Jazz Club, Acton Jazz Cafe, and the Cotuit Center for the Arts. Their new album "Don't Bother to Knock" was released last fall and features little-known gems from the 1930s to '50s.
