Creating Emotionally Meaningful Poems with Barry Hellman

During the workshop we’ll move from a reading and discussion of emotionally resonant writing by a variety of poets to an interactive prompt designed to generate similar kinds of work.

The poet Tony Hoagland must have had this kind of poetry in mind when he said, “When I am at a good poetry reading, I am carried deep into my own interior; I think of times and people and events that are far away, and I feel them again.”
