The Chatham Chorale brings its much-loved Candlelight Christmas celebration to Chatham’s beautiful Methodist Church. This year’s program features seasonal music from the Renaissance to the 21st century: including Purcell’s motet “Rejoice in the Lord Alway,” “Hodie” by Jan Sweelinck, Joubert’s setting of the French carol “Torches,” “Ave Maria” and contemporary arrangements by John Harbison of “O Magnum Mysterium” and William Cutter, the “Ukrainian Bell Carol.” Cape Symphony keyboardist Donald Enos plays Handel’s Organ Concerto in F Major. As always, the concerts will feature a small orchesta and an audience singalong and “Hallelujah” from Handel’s Messiah.
