Cahoon Museum: Winter Wonders Holiday Party

The Winter Wonders party takes place on Friday, December 7 from 4:30pm – 6:30pm and is a new museum event featuring live music by the Bart Weisman Jazz Group, holiday shopping, signature spirits and wine tastings by the Cape Cod Package Store, seasonal displays, and an opportunity to view the current exhibitions. The Cahoon Museum shop has been newly stocked for the holiday season with house gifts, art books, jewelry, children’s items, wearables, pottery, and more. Museum gift memberships are also available. The event is sponsored by Cape Cod Package Store.

The Museum will unveil its new interpretive feature, Hands on History: the Cahoons and the Crocker House, during the Winter Wonders party. The display, which highlights the Museum’s home, the historic Crocker House, teaches about the artists Ralph and Martha Cahoon who both lived and had their studios in the building. It shows how they enlivened the house with their artistry while preserving its historic features. Hands on History is included with museum admission and is the jumping off point for the Cahoon’s future interpretive offerings and activities.

Tickets to the Museum’s Winter Wonders Raffle are available during museum hours, at all the events, and by calling the Museum. The raffle package includes a framed print by American artist Herman Maril who was the subject of a recent retrospective at the Museum, an overnight stay at the White Porch Inn paired with a dinner at Fanizzi’s Restaurant in Provincetown, and a $250 gift card. The drawing will take place at the Winter Wonders event and the winner does not have to be present to win. The prize package is valued at $3,000.

Tickets for the raffle are $100 and all proceeds benefit the Museum’s education initiatives, exhibitions, and community outreach programs.
