Becoming a Fearless Painter: Life’s a Beach with Odin Smith

Four Tuesday classes: 4/3, 4/10, 4/17, 4/24. Join Odin in a series of sessions that change their directive each month and are devoted to working in a smaller and more intensive learning environment, to improve specific artistic skills.

In April we will be focusing on learning the secrets of painting dunes and beaches. Learn to create light filled scenes with strong presence.  Find out how to make shadows on sand become alive and translucent, while painting good values to suggest drama. Understand back lit situations where light falls upon the dune grasses and glows in the warm light of the sun. Please be prepared with your own reference material and any size canvases.

These classes will help artists to become more confident in their own skills and bring a sense of self and creativity to their own work. Taking risks will be encouraged! Must be on an intermediate to advanced level, and must have their own acrylic supplies.
