Join us for our annual winter Reading and Discussion Series Sturgis Library first opened its doors for business in August 1867, making 2017 our 150th anniversary. As part of our celebration, our winter literary discussion program will focus on book
Dr. James Crowley, associate professor at Bridgewater State University will lead a discussion of Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale. Published in 1985, Atwood's award winning novel explores a broad range of issues relating to power, gender, and religious politics. It has been adapted for a television series that premieres this spring.
