SUMMARY OF POSITION
The YNCPF, a preservation foundation in Yarmouth, has an immediate opening for a part time Managing Consultant. The Manager will work with the Executive Board and its related committees (PR, Events and Grounds Committees) to facilitate public relations, programming and general care of the building.
This is an exciting opportunity for a professional and independent individual to develop YNCPF’s seasonal programming, and create new initiatives for a future as a year round cultural anchor for the village of Yarmouth Port.

ABOUT THE YARMOUTH NEW CHURCH PRESERVATION FOUNDATION
The Yarmouth New Church Preservation Foundation (YNCPF) is a non-religious, non-profit sec 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to preserving the historically registered former church building on Yarmouth Port Common ( known as the “ New Church”) and continuing its development as a vibrant cultural center for public benefit and use. With its two primary spaces: the Audience Room and the Great Room Gallery, the New Church is developing as a destination along 6A for performance and visual art.

HOURS AND COMPENSATION
This is a part-time, year round position /averaging 10 hours a week at $25 / hr.
Available immediately.

Typical Responsibilities Include:
-Develop opportunities to collaborate with local businesses and cultural institutions.
-Primary contact for rental requests.
-Primary contact for contracted rentals,coordinating access,responding to general questions
-Attend and assist in planning Foundation sponsored events
(approx. 8-10 events annually, some nights and weekends)
-Coordinate volunteers, building group identity, recruiting volunteers from community
-Coordinate public relations with support of Committee
-Contribute to social media accounts
-Oversee on line calendar to verify information and maximize opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS
-Passionate about creating a destination for visual+performing arts in Yarmouth Port
-Familiar with Yarmouth, the nearby business community and cultural institutions
-Interested in the history of the area
-Comfortable working with social media, and common business software
-Well organized and detail oriented, with a sense of humor!
-Able to work independently, taking initiative without daily supervision.
-Strong written communication skills and solid interpersonal skills with a variety of users
-Professional event,PR,facility management,non-profit and small business experience a plus.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
-Have an excellent work ethic, an abundant curiosity to learn and willingness to assist.
-Have valid drivers license and provide own transportation.
-Have access to own computer and cell phone
-Comfortable with occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs) and low climbing (light bulb changing, for example)
-Basic graphic design experience ( p.e. newsletter templates ), a plus, but not required.
